A sloping bank transformed into a family friendly garden through introduction of two large tiers to create a long lawn and kitchen garden linked to a lower woodland and firepit area perfect for children to play and explore nature.
A new terrace patio in conjunction with a house extension left the original garden with poor links to the house so the brief on this project was to level up areas of the garden and to include a new lawn, raised planters for fruit and veg and a woodland firepit area.
Our design incorporated a feature kitchen garden at the end of the new lawn which brought in characteristics of the surrounding rural setting with use of dry stone walling. A circular artificial lawn provides an all year round play area for the little ones and the levelling of the lower part of the garden includes woodland planting and a firepit area for cosy evenings spent toasting marshmallows.
